Learn simple ways
to walk away the pounds and make walking fun. This simple concept is the key to any weight loss program. No miracle diet will change this principle. Eating more carbohydrates than protein or vice versa is not the magic cure for losing weight. You can even gain weight eating low fat foods if you exceed the calories necessary to maintain your weight.
You can walk away the pounds and boost your overall metabolism
by keeping a regular schedule for walking. Your body
will burn away extra calories during the exercise, and well after the
exercise is over.
Boosting your metabolism is like eating less food. Aerobic exercise should be done a minimum of 20 minutes, 3 days each week. The faster the pace, the more calories you will burn. Keep the pace brisk to get full benefit. Walk 20 to 40 minutes a day, 3 - 5 days each week.
If you've haven't been exercising lately, start off by walking one day a week for 15 minutes. Gradually increase the days and duration as you adjust to the new routine. A regular
walk schedule will cause your body to burn substantially more calories in the long-term.
Make it Fun
Make your exercise routine interesting. Go to your favorite park, beach or walk in the neighborhood. Make the routine easy and accessible so you won't quit.
Walk at the same time of day. An early morning walk is a good way to begin the day before a hectic schedule distract and steals your time.
Pick two or three places to walk so you can change the route and keep it interesting. Try walking during your lunch break. Combine a consistent walk routine with a
good diet to make you lose weight.
