Never use a starvation diet to lose weight. This will only slow down your metabolism and starvation diets are hard to stay on. The initial weight loss is water and not fat.

The majority of people who lose weight on a fad or starvation diet gain the weight back. So how do you use the Slim Fast diet to lose weight and keep it off?

Don't treat Slim Fast as a starvation tactic. Slim Fast is an excellent between meal snack. Many people who use Slim Fast successfully, drink their shake in the morning for breakfast and use it later in the day as a between meal snack.

Most women who are successful at losing weight still maintain a diet between 1100 and 1400 calories per day to lose weight. Men consume between 1500 and 2000 calories per day to lose weight.

Sticking to these calorie values, and using Slim Fast is an excellent way to lose weight. Always include daily exercise as a regular part of your weight loss routine. We recommend 20 to 30 minutes of stationary biking per day. You can ride your stationary bike in front of the TV.  If you don't like cycling, try a daily fast pace walk. A good exercise routine will help you burn more calories and give you faster weight loss results.
