I need a quick way to lose weight because of an upcoming wedding that I will be in. I'm a little nervous about quick fix solutions but I need to lose weight quickly.  Is a good diet the way to go?

Many quick fix diet program suggests that you can lose 10 pounds a week, but is that possible? The average women burns 2000 calories per day and the average man burns 2400 calories each day.  It takes 3500 calories to burn 1 pound of fat.

If a person did not eat for an entire week, they could only burn 15,400 calories for the week. That’s equivalent to 4 ½ pounds.

A quick way to lose weight is to reduce your overall calorie intake by 25% to 30%. If you’re not good at counting calories, you can reduce your portion size by the same percentage. Also, a good diet should include healthy foods that you like.

Never skip meals as a quick fix to dieting. You can include Slim Fast and other protein shakes as part of your overall diet. Eating many small meals throughout the day is the key to losing weight and maintaining a healthy diet.
