Intake to Lose Weight

Dear Diet Tip, I need to lose about 20 pounds and I started this new diet last week. So far, I have not lost a pound yet. Do you think my calorie intake is too high. I was expecting to have lost some weight for my sacrifice, but nothing has happen. Can you recommend the proper calorie intake to lose weight on a consistent basis? ~ ~ June Dear June, We recommend a daily intake of 1200 to 1400 calories for most women. This calorie intake works well if your current weight is between 160 and 210 pounds. If you’re between 140 and 160 pounds, you should strive to stay at 1200 daily calories. We don’t recommend you go below a 1000 daily calories. Though you may lose more weight initially, this low calorie intake will also lower your metabolism. It’s important when you’re
dieting to include regular exercise to prevent your metabolism from
lowering because you become vulnerable to gaining the weight right
back. Dieting will naturally lower your metabolism if you don’t
include daily exercise. Incorporate a regular fast pace walk for 30
minutes along with your restricted calorie diet and you’ll lose at
least a pound each week until you get to your idea weight. Take our online taste survey so we know the types of foods you like. We'll select the most appropriate diet plan and email all your diet plan information within 24 hours. Click personal diet plan to get started.
